A Letter from My Sanity
More and more I'm accepting the truth. No matter what you say to someone they will only believe what they want to believe. Doesn't matter if what you're saying is THE TRUTH once their mind is made up they will only accept what you're saying as a lie because their eyes are blinded from THE reality. It's important to not hold on to things that happened many moons ago and to get help to release those matters because in the face of confrontation lies and truth look the same if you're blinded from the past. A wolf does not always show itself in sheep's clothing. Sometimes it shows itself in plain sight, just remove the film from your eyes and you'll see. I was recently told, that in the heat of the moment people switch up. I never believed this any more than I do right now, the very people you love and trust don't always have YOUR best interests in those disheartening moments. But I thank those who give this statement it's glory because without you I would've believed your truth. I will always choose to love. But I love you enough to let you go, because I'm also choosing my sanity.
Life surely has a way of dealing its hand to you. But it’s up to you to decide if you’re going to continue in toxic relationships whether it be with friends or family. Just because you decide to release yourself from those people/situations does NOT mean you don’t love them. But for your sanity it is important to not put yourself in dangerous positions (mentally, physically, and emotionally) God gave you a spirit of discernment and a functioning mind for a reason. Use those gifts to know when to let go....and I will not apologize for protecting my sanity. My mind thanks me, my child thanks me, and so does my husband!
I Now Release You,
